To all competitors.
As we know, what started as outright revolution has turned to evolution of our great game and despite initial reservations of some competitors, myself
included, we have general consensus to move to pro-fantasy league. The move should we hope re-ignite interest of those previously suffering from a lack of wffl
inspiration as well as share the burden of wffl admin equally, in that we none of us shall have to do it.
In terms of pro-fantasy league i have looked at their various packages. i do not believe that for our league the most expensive package adds anything over the
interactive package, priced last season at £34. The one exception to this is the ability to award negative points to players shown red cards long a feature of
our own scoring system. The standard package is however too basic and does not allow us to customise rules regarding squad depth and players per team quota and
should i believe be overlooked in favour of the interactive package.
To that end we are looking at dates for the IBS. We have confirmed competitors thus far of:
PC
MT
VP
(DM)LB
DW
Who all to my understanding can make weekend of 18th July, correct me if i am wrong guys.
Other potential parties include
SO
MK
(OTS)RS
Could all wfflers please put their availability dates for IBS on this thread please such that we can get a weekend sorted out and look into venues? We are
looking at all dates from weekend of 18th July through to weekend of 8th August inclusive. I shall also say that if we do not hear from any such wfflers by
24th June 2009 we shall assume no further participation and make arrangements on the basis of participation of those who have confirmed availability dates
only.
I shall therefore start:
1. W/E 18th July - available
2. W/E 25th July - available
3. W/E 1st August - available (at present - this could change soon)
4. W/E 8th August - not available

amazing
i agree that the basic package is too basic. happy with either of the two other options, whatever everyone wants to do. so...are the competitors as follows; PC (c) MT SO VP RS DW LB with the probable/possible addition of PG/MK/TH... really, really happy that our core group has continued. if kings comes back in would be absolutely perfect. |

Following a discussion last night we are thinking of returning to classic to avoid paying for pro fantasy league. Higher squad limits, team keepers and team
defences are also preferred. We are also considering booking a hotel room in Lpool. I suggested a hotel foyer or Beb liberal club (if we want a room on the
cheap £30 whole room til 11pmish).

Incidentally, I think if we dressed smartly (suits and maybe even carried a few empty suitcases) we could probably find a quiet corner of a big Liverpool hotel
bar/foyer for a couple of hours. As long as we bought a few drinks every hour we could claim we are waiting for "a friend/colleague" before we book a
room.

Adebayor feels Temple fury Temple City manager Matthew Temple has today spoken of his fury at Emmanuel Adebayor's weekend antics. The Togolese forward has been the centre of controversy in recent days, sparked by his wild goal celebrations and alleged stamp on Robin van Persie. Temple has refuted suggestions that he instructed the dangerous frontman to target van Persie in an attempt to derail Whitehead Wanderers' title challenge. 
It seems that Adebayor has become the target of Temple's anger after a faltering start to the season for the reigning champions. The manager maintians that he has complete confidence in his squad, however. Meanwhile, Temple was quick to dismiss rumours that the signings of Bilyaletdinov and Vennegoor of Hesselink were made purely for commercial reasons and confirmed that the club would not be charging per letter for shirt printing. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but i think Oxton's points haul last week was the highest ever in a single round of matches (i.e. excluding times like xmas and
easter when teams play twice). 36 is quite unbelievable! Love how he got more in a week than Sammo has managed all season

Thing is Liverpool should have kept a clean sheet, Tevez should have had a hat trick and Bent should have taken the penalty.....then again maybe asking for 50
points is a bit greedy? It was a good week but a bit infuriating! Still only move to 3rd
