In all fairness, love or hate Chelsea they were robbed. They played a brilliant tactical game over the 2 legs and should have had 3 penalties and been out of
sight. Its a shame we havent got an all british final though I believe Matt and Viv will be happy Chelsea lost and hope Barcelona win the final?

Barca's performance has to rival any I've seen in a European final. They made United look clueless, and we know they are anything but. A new standard
has surely been set. That little man is magic, and I'm not talking about Messi (he's not bad, either). Iniesta plays the way I'd like to,
and it was great to see him get the ovation he deserved.

What a final. What a Confederations Cup. There's nothing like international football.
Credit to the USA, they were excellent in their last three matches. Brazil had too much for them in the end, but they were pushed to the limit. I was also very impressed with South Africa. If they perform like they did in this tournament, they can certainly reach the knockout stages in 2010. This could genuinely be a World Cup of surprises. There are already several high profile nations in serious trouble. Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, Cameroon, Nigeria and Egypt all face an uphill struggle. 347 days and counting! |

Samuel L. Jackson has long been the coolest man in the world.

Sam is the man.
This has to be the most one-sided deal since Viv raped [insert WFFL competitor]. As if Ibra is worth anything like what that deal values him at. Barca are getting screwed worse than Bruno's pygmy boyfriend. |

if its the three you suggest it'd either be the first or second time that no promoted teams went down |

Just heard about Sir Bobby.
Italia '90 was when I first truly came to love the game. The memories I have of that competition are some of my best. It was a great England side, and we were painfully close to winning the big one that year. Robson, perhaps, never truly got the credit he deserved. His achievements are surpassed only by those of Alf Ramsey and he has to go down as one of the true England greats. RIP, Sir Bobby. Thanks for the memories. A minute silence at the IBS. |

I can't put down words to do him justice. A total legend, hero, genius but most importantly top, top bloke. Very upset.

i agree with both your sentiments. i'm not usually that bothered when a public figure dies but i'm geniunely gutted about Sir Bobby Robson. True
legend.
I'm dedicating my performance in tonight's ibs to him. |

I wouldn't bother, he might be insulted by that.
Agree with the above, seemed like a top bloke. |
