Was bored today in work and started thinking about some plans for the summer. So, i'm going to list some ideas I've had and potential dates etc. Can
people respond if they're interested and discuss potential dates etc. Really want to get off my arse and start doing something, make some memories and
hopefully get a bit fitter.
So here goes...
1. WFFL IBS
Date 16/08/08 @ 9am - This is the day the season starts so needs to get underway early. People I know are competing are myself, matt, paul and tom. Waiting on Daz's decision, hopefully a MK re-think and availability of RS and VP.
2. Alton Towers
Just for the day, everyone seemed interested in this should it be just the day. If we went on a saturday it'll be mentally busy, are people ok with taking a day off work in the week to go, say a monday?
3. Random sunday to Wales
Probably just one for me, DW, Matt and Jonny Rimbo. The idea is to just take one car, have a bit of a drive, go on the arcades, crazy golf, old school fish and chips etc. Potentially cheap.
4. Football
If we can time this with Sammo's visit with his Scottish chums we could potentially have.... 12+ (RS,VP,MK,MiniKings,SO,PC,DW,JR,TH,MT,Cormo,Lee Bollans,Sammo's mates) and therefore a great 6 a side match. How about Sat 5th July as a starter?
5. Wirral bike ride
Was really hoping to speak to DW about this as he does a lot of cycling, but basically we meet up...have a cycle...go home. Daz - how much would a basic bike cost me?
6. Batman
I REALLY want to se this, how about the crazy 2am first showing type thing?
7. Trip to Dundee
One weekend go up to see RS, take 1 car and share petrol costs.
8. Liverpool night out
PC is organising one but don't know the date. I imagine PC will go straight to KH but I'm hoping to do a tour of the bars first and then go to KH at 12 ish thus allowing non KH / nightclub fans to last train home it.
9. Amsterdam
In september as a joint JR/RS/SO/PC type birthday holiday...although without PC in attendance I imagine
Reminds me of the time in 6th form we went out for
MT's birthday which he didnt go to!! Anyway, VP wants to do this as he cannot make Dublin.
10. America
One for the future, and an idea literally shot down by MT yesterday (). I'd love to really see America and do everything I'd want to do there and
therefore want to go for 2 weeks. This is kind of a no expense spared trip that I'll remember forever so appreciate some may not want to go, however if we
seta date in a years time or something we can break it down into £30p/w to save up and therefore more manageable and realistic.
Things I want to do there: a) universal studios b) sea world c) LA Lakers game d) LA Galaxy game e) eat in an american diner f) Green Bay Packers game g)
Basball game (got no team that I follow) plus loads more I can't think of at the moment.
Please add anymore ideas you have, and ideally any dates you cannot do. For instance I know VP is busy w/end of 2nd Aug and RS likewise on w/end of 9th Aug.
So yeah, please list what events you're interested in and amend other suggestions to what you'd prefer. Lets do something interesting for once!!
