I neglected to mention the IBS proposal as it was always a non-starter due to the reasons mentioned.
It's a shame, as Newcastle '08 was good. Perhaps we could take WFFL on tour again in the future.

so assuming its saturday the 1st of august in cardiff:
the mecure hotel in cardiff are doing a summer deal with room and breakfast for 49 a night. holiday inn and the express are both booked up for the sat night, but strangly they will let you stay two nights. I've found a code for friday and sat night at 75 in total. the ibis and etap (the less stared brothers of novotel and Mecure) are strangly more than the mecure! hilton is too expensive. So too the mariott. the travel lodge is 80 a night for that shit hole premier inn is fully booked city centre, the cardiff north is 56 a night (the one at the david lloyd) plus another 6 for breakfast. you'll probably all call me a jew for wanting to stay in a nice place, don;t care, I'm either going to be staying at the mecure or drive down friday night and stop for 2 nights in the holiday inn city centre. |

I reckon we should leave reasonably (but not ridiculously) early and aim to be in Cardiff late afternoon. It'd be good, for something like this, if several of us could get insured on one car and take turns driving. It might be too late to organise it this time though. |
